Hi Ellie and thanks for your interest. You are correct about the upright nature of the netting. It is a warning “fence” of sorts where there has been erosion of a sea wall on Auckland’s Tamaki River( an estuary). It is a favourite place of mine to just sit but weird to have the view interrupted by the bright netting.

I’m trying to work out what the orange net is. I don’t think it’s fishing net as it appears to be upright. I’m intrigued.
