I think that adding a bit of writing makes it more personal and relatable, too, although I’ve always enjoyed your posts in any form. I look forward to them every morning 😊.
I thank you again Ellie. I started off my blog writing more, then after my cancer hiatus in 2021/22 it has become picture focused, the emphasis may change again!
I’m sorry to hear you’ve had cancer – what a scary time for you. I hope you are fully recovered now? I always enjoy your posts whether they are images or writing, too. You take some excellent photos. Take care of yourself, Andy.
Next week it will be 2 years since a stage IV oesophageal cancer diagnosis, then I went through the hell of my greatest ebb tide. Six months of treatment and surgery followed by a long recovery. I couldn’t get out to take photos and creativity becomes too difficult when you just want to survive. Luckily, I am clear and back with a vengeance! Grateful for every single day on the planet. I am sitting waiting for a plane to Paris in Rome’s airport. Accelerating my bucket list just because I can (and my higher power allows).
I’m so pleased for you, Andy, that you got the all-clear from your cancer. I can’t imagine what an awful time you must have gone through. However, I’m not surprised it was difficult to be creative at that time, especially as you weren’t well enough to get out to take your lovely photographs. I expect, by now, you have reached Paris, so I wish you the most wonderful and much-deserved break over there. Take good care of yourself 🌞.
Thanks Ellie, even had time to edit my photo of the Eiffel Tower and post it while waiting in the queue for the lift down. The post actually looks a bit bleak, but I actually am having a blast!
Peace, Andy.
I’m so pleased that you are already having a wonderful time. Well deserved, too. I saw and liked your photo of the Eiffel Tower – the structure is very complex. I’ve never seen it close-up before. I’ve never been to Paris (or anywhere else, come to that). I went to Spain on my honeymoon at nearly 20, but it was very different back then. It was Benidorm, surrounded by small markets and villages in the mountains, unlike now when it is very anglicised with English beers and fried breakfasts! Have a brilliant time out there 😊.
They look very tempting, Andy. I love that you’re adding more words to your posts lately. It feels more personal 😊.

I just window shopped , and resisted temptation Ellie. I should write more than I do probably.
