‘Skylight & Ceiling’
…up and down, round and round…
‘Tower Of Stones’
‘Lennox Hides Out’
Ebb Then Flood doesn’t usually deal in cat memes, but I couldn’t resist putting up this shot of the family feline resting in lavender bushes recently.
Looking for all the world like a patch of soil amongst the leaves and flowers, a watchful golden eye betrays his presence.
And when he finally emerges from his clandestine possie, the sweet and cloying odour of the lavender flowers stays on his fur… perfumed puss!
‘The Fisher King’

‘Tamaki Drive Vista’
…sea wall, lampposts, waves,an overcast sky – at play for me as I walk by…
‘Fine Feathered Friend III’
‘Scales & Yellow Light’
‘Shadows / Light (Blue)
A different take on the image featured in my last post – this time with a blue tinting . It’s less stark somehow. The interesting thing about shadows is that they rely on the strength of light for their definition. Without the strong light there is only the object that is projected . There is a wonderful cinematic quality in great shadows. Recolouring the image in blue in this case is just adding to the cinema of light.
…another take on the impressive Māori canoe in glass, situated at the entrance to the Auckland Art Gallery. the vertical sculpture points to the sky…
‘Spirals, Curves & Lines’
Auckland’s Waitemata Harbour by the light of the most recent full moon.
‘Flock In Flight’
…five spoons linked with twine on a street side power box. just who is coming for dinner?..
‘Seaside Scene VII’
…a ball in motion, caught mid-air flotation…
‘Seaside Scene VI’
…spring time in Auckland and beach frolics begin!..
job, quit your shit, just…quit!..
‘In A Fog IV’
Shipping container art and livery: a wolf howling at the moon.
Some things cannot be, erm, contained.
The need to howl, to let it all out!
