currently closed as a bar/ music venue, somewhat sadly, but apparently set to reopen.
the seaside frontage of the town was also deserted on a grey late-March morning , when the original photo was taken. not without its charms though.
hopefully the sun is shining now, and The Empire gets a new lease of life soon!
