Oh hi,Ellie and thank you for the compliment! They do look like shutters but are fixed wooden beams, purely decorative I think. Looking at the photo, my take is that it looks sort of like a giant octopus ( but that could just be my weird mind!)
That’s interesting. I’ve taken a long look at the photo again, but I just can’t see the octopus! I often see ‘things’ in photos, too, so I must have a weird mind, too, but then, I’ve always thought of myself as being rather weird! 😊
