Great photo, Andy. It reminds me of the underside of the pier in Southend-On-Sea with it’s wooden planks all the way along. That pier is the longest pier in the world, which is quite remarkable, really. On holiday, I’ve driven In my electric wheelchair, Alfie, all the way to the end. And then, horror of horrors, I got a big fat puncture! The rest is a long story! I wrote about in a previous blog post a fair time ago. Needless to say, I got back to the hotel and then home again, but I’ll never forget the experience. Hardly surprising, really.
Glad you liked the pic Ellie. I have seen photos of the pier you mention, one of those grand old Brit seaside structures. But your day by the sea was memorable for all the wrong reasons by the sound of it! I have a bit of a fascination with wharves and piers, and have run a few called “ Under The Wharf, Above The Waves” about periods of transition and being nowhere really.
