…your soul, floating in the great beyond, beautiful…
‘Floating’

Given that a belief is just that, and not a fact or certainty, what does that place beyond belief look like ?
Asked another way, what is the substance of your faith and hope?
And, if you get to that place or find that thing, would you actually realise that you are there or what it was ?
None of which questions I can answer but I have the nagging feeling (not a belief, mind) that I have actually arrived at some of those places beyond belief , only for those beliefs to change, and so too, the destination.
All clear then?
Oh, and I will let you know when and if I get there….
“Whether we call it sacrifice, or poetry, or adventure, it is always the same voice that calls”
Antoine de Saint-Exupery
Just one question really – what is it that calls you over your known edge, past your fear, to that thing beyond ?
“Art, when inspired with love, leads to higher realms”

Two community art gallery stairways, in NZ’s Nelson (left) and Taumaranui (right), echo the above quote.
You can feel the love and passion transforming humble carpentry.
Stairs inviting you upwards with rainbow colours to discover more artful wonder.
Which is what inspired art does, I suppose – takes you out of yourself and beyond.
I fumble around with this blog, and I don’t really know what qualifies as ‘good’ art ,but I have come to learn that the act of creating something that is real to me has actually taken me ‘beyond’. The creativity of others (bloggers like you included!) inspires that journey too.
Onwards and upwards!
It’s natural to feel blue,or trapped,or both, sometimes.Barbed wire thoughts keep us there.Fear defines the perimeters of our life.
In this shot ,I do not resile from that harshness, for I know it well enough. But through, and above ,the loops of razor wire the vastness of the sky is a signifier of the attainable beyond.
