Looking northwards from the sandspit near the mouth of the Tamaki River to Auckland’s iconic volcanic island, Rangitoto.
There are few sights that make me happier than a clear view of the island.
I know I am home then.
The curves and circles of a volcanic rock formation exposed on the low tide of Auckland’s Waitemata Harbour.
Dramatic and strong patterns that are endlessly covered over, then revealed again…
