‘Outlines’
…shapes without detail…

‘The Places That We Go To Hide’
…seeking soothing shelter…

‘Conservatory Sky View’

‘Red & Yellow Hibiscus’
…something to brighten your day!…

‘No Need To Explain’

‘Hang’
…dangling and tangling – just how much rope shall we give ‘em?….

‘Beach Mosaic II’
…a story, a sea shanty, in every shell upon the shore…

‘Mane Attraction’
A leonine statue guards the entrance to a downtown Auckland hotel.
I am lured into a photographic cat-ture of the sculpted beast. Not for the first time on this blog….
This image and accompanying poor puns come at the recent suggestion of blogger Graham Stephen, whose rather stellar artistic work may be found at:

‘Beach Mosaic’
…gifts the sea brings us…

‘What Remains’

‘As It Is Written’
“all you need is love, love is all you need”
– The Beatles

‘Hydrangeas’’
… a serene scene to end the year on a peaceful note…

‘Deep In The Woods’
… going in is easy; getting out, not so much…

‘Just Another Face In The Crowd’

‘Old Head’
An old head indeed, but in fact a new- ish double life size bronze bust of Sir John Logan Campbell, a founding father of modern Auckland.
The sculpture lies in the central park on land gifted by him to the city.
The sculptor has even gone to the detail of including the subject’s initials on a monogrammed breast pocket kerchief – nice touch!

‘Blue Payphone’
…who you gonna call?…

‘Wall/ Garden’
…where serene softness meets the unflinching hard – which gives way?…

‘Hookless’
…never get my hooks into you…

‘Meri Kirihimete/ Merry Christmas’
Christmas greetings to you all from Aotearoa/ New Zealand!
I wish you peace and happiness.
Thank you to all that have stopped by Ebb Then Flood during 2023 , and who also inspired me through their own creative endeavours on Word Press . You help make this blogging journey worthwhile!
